可惜了，其实Stalker还是挺适合边消磨时间、边用来练习听力的。Maggie老师的口语实在是太炫。
最近一直有断续地看Maggie Q主演的美剧《跟踪者》（Stalker）第一季，今天在了解吴彦祖（Daniel Wu）的新剧“Into the Badlands”时，突然想看看Stalker是否有第二季（season 2），网上搜索一番的结果让我有些小失望。其实早在5月，CBS就已经决定不再为Stalker续拍第2季了。Examiner.com在5月10日就有进行报道，标题为：‘Stalker’ and ‘Battle Creek’ cancelled: CBS series not renewed for Season 2（《跟踪者》、《Battle Creek》遭取消：CBS系列剧集不再续拍第二季）。一起来回顾该篇报道的有关内容：
CBS announced Friday, May 8 that it has cancelled freshman drama series “Stalker” and “Battle Creek,” as well as rookie（新的） comedy “The McCarthys,” TV Guide reports. All three shows failed to be renewed for Season 2 due to（由于） low ratings.
大意是说CBS宣布已取消3部新剧的后续剧集，究其原因还是由于观众的评价过低（low ratings）。客观来说，我倒是认为Stalker的表现不算太坏，Maggie Q和Dylan McDermott都算是人气主演（尼基塔、美国怪谭），演技发挥也中规中矩。要说缺点，也许是因为剧情不够紧凑，毕竟剧中的每集都讲一个独立的有关stalker的故事，缺乏强大、有张力的主线贯穿牵引。唯一的背景剧情是主角Beth担心其真实身份被自己的Stalker–Perry揭穿，但其实这也不算什么大事。和Homeland第一季的紧张悬疑，以及American Horror Story开篇的神秘离奇相比，实在是小巫见大巫。
The Kevin Williamson-produced “Stalker,” starring Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott, was the highest-rated of the trio（三个一组） of cancelled shows, averaging（注意这里的average用作动词） a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 7.6 million viewers over 18 episodes. However, it was savaged by critics ahead of its premiere（首播） for its depiction of violence and victimization of women, and was eventually put on hiatus（暂停） for months for “CSI: Cyber.” It recently resurfaced on Monday nights where it fell to a series low of 5.7 million viewers for its most recent episode. The last two episodes of the season will air（播出） this month.
如果你是Stalker的剧迷，上面这段话会让你心情平衡很多。与同时被砍掉的其他2部剧集相比，Stalker在总体评分、以及收视率方面的表现实在是好太多。另外，媒体对该剧内容的批评，加之给新剧CSI:Cyber让位等因素，也促成了后期收视率的下跌。
虽然看不到Stalker第二季有些遗憾，但还是愉快地期待Maggie Q、以及Dylan McDermott会在今后带来更多精彩佳作。
